Bussing to Booligal with LCC
On the 23rd of January 2025

Local Community Care, a home care service that supports the elderly and those with disabilities, recently organised an excursion to Booligal, NSW.
The day trip, aimed at bringing clients and the local community together, was filled with joy, good company, and unexpected kindness.
The group travelled by bus from the LCC office at 153 High St in Hillston, ready for a day of exploration and fun. However, their journey took an unexpected turn when the bus suffered a flat tyre en route. But, in true community spirit, a few kind-hearted passers-by stopped to lend a hand. Their quick assistance ensured the group was back on track in no time, and the mishap became part of the day's story, adding to the experience.

Despite the slight delay, the group arrived in Booligal to beautiful weather and a welcoming atmosphere. The locals joined the excursion, adding to the sense of camaraderie as everyone explored the charming town together. Participants enjoyed a delightful spread of food, with everyone bonding over delicious meals and stories.
A big thank you to Kris & Kim at the Booligal Hotel for being so accommodating. We have had nothing but rave reviews regarding the food, and atmosphere of the renovated pub!
And another big thank you to Mick and Maree Brettschneider for our transportation.
We believe it was a success! It was wonderful to see the smiles on everyone's faces. It was more than just a trip; it was a chance for people to connect, share, and make lasting memories.

The excursion is just one example of the heartwarming work Local Community Care aim to do for the elderly and disabled members of the community. With a focus on providing not only essential care but also a sense of belonging.
Plans for future excursions are already in the works, our business is eager to bring even more opportunities for fun and connection to the local community.
